The series will be broadcast on AXN networks in more than 125 territories or countries around the globe. eOne Television will retain basic and pay television, broadcast television and digital/DVD rights for the show outside of AXN markets and handle distribution of the series worldwide, including the U.S. and Canada.

 


Saving Hope

In SAVING HOPE, when charismatic Chief of Surgery Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks, STARGATE ATLANTIS) at Toronto’s Hope-Zion Hospital ends up in a coma, he leaves the hospital in chaos – and his fiancée and fellow surgeon, Alex Reid (Erica Durance, SMALLVILLE), in a state of shock. Along with newly-arrived star surgeon, Joel Goran (Daniel Gillies, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES), Alex races to save Harris' life. As the action unfolds, comatose Dr. Harris wanders the halls of Hope-Zee in “spirit” form, not sure if he's a ghost or a figment of his own imagination. Reid, along with her fellow doctors, press on to save his life and those of their other patients, as they deal with the complicated and courageous decisions that are made in their daily struggle to keep hope alive.

The creative team behind Haven includes showrunner Scott Shepherd (Tru Calling, The Dead Zone) as well as his partners, executive producers Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller (The Dead Zone, Wildfire, Greek) who are joined by eOne’s John Morayniss (Hung, Rookie Blue) Noreen Halpern (Hung, Rookie Blue) and Laszlo Barna (The Bridge, Call Me Fitz). The pilot was written by Sam Ernst & Jim Dunn (The Dead Zone) who also serve as executive producers on the series.

Since debuting in summer 2010 on Syfy, Haven has scored a 1.9 Household rating and 2.6 million total viewers, including over 1.2 million Adults 25-54 and 989,000 Adults 18-49. These numbers are double the timeslot average from 3Q09 (+100% in HH rating, +111% in P2+).

Season 2 premieres July 15, 2011 on SyFy in the US and Showcase in Canada.

Call Me Fitz was recently nominated at the 2011 Monte-Carlo International TV Festival for Outstanding International Producer - Comedy TV Series, Outstanding Actor (Jason Priestley, Ernie Grunwald) and Outstanding Actress (Brooke Nevin, Kathleen Munroe). The series was also nominated at the 2011 Banff World Media Awards in the Sitcoms category.

Season 2 premieres on September 25, 2011 on HBO Canada.
